AC COIL CLEANING FUNDAMENTALS

Understanding Your AC System Components

🔹 Evaporator Coils (Indoor Units)

Absorb heat from indoor air to create cooling comfort. Located inside your home, these coils require regular maintenance for optimal heat transfer efficiency.

🔹 Condenser Coils (Outdoor Units)

Release absorbed heat to the external environment. Exposed to weather and debris, these coils need frequent cleaning to maintain performance.

🔹 Why Regular Cleaning Matters

Clean coil surfaces ensure maximum heat transfer efficiency, proper refrigerant flow, and reduced energy consumption.

Common Contamination Sources

Clean HVAC evaporator & condenser coils with EcoCare AC coil foam cleaner (aerosol spray). Total time ≈ 10 minutes.

Important: Power off and isolate the AC. Use gloves and eye protection; wear a mask in poorly ventilated areas. Keep aerosol away from heat/flame.

1. Power Off & Expose Coils

Switch off mains. Remove filters and panels. Vacuum loose dust so the foam reaches the fins.

4. Dwell Time: 3–5 Minutes

Dwell Time: 3–5 Minutes

Let the clinging foam penetrate dust, grease, and biofilm. Do not allow it to dry on the surface.

2. Shake Can & Test Spray

Shake Can & Test Spray

Shake well for 10–15 seconds. Test a small area to confirm fin safety and spray pattern.

 5. Rinse (Low Pressure)

6. Dry, Reassemble & Restart

Rinse with low-pressure water to flush loosened soil without bending aluminium/copper fins.

3. Apply Foam (15–25 cm)

Apply Foam (15–25 cm)

Hold the AC coil cleaner spray 15–25 cm from the surface and coat the fins evenly.

6. Dry, Reassemble & Restart

Dry, Reassemble & Restart

Allow drainage, refit filters/panels, restore power, verify airflow and cooling.
